Human Fusion – Dance-based fitness Workouts
I’ve just tried a fitness class called HumanFusion, and it’s fun!
Actually, what I tried was only one small part of HumanFusion – there are several modules, so there’s something for everyone. All the modules are based on different dance styles, but they’re ideal for non-dancers too. If you’ve always wanted to dance but never did, HumanFusion classes would be ideal for you – but even ex-dancers like me will find them enjoyable. The class I attended was FoxyFusion, where I got the chance to channel my inner Dita Von Teese! But that’s only one of the HumanFusion modules, and that’s the great thing about the program. Once a gym has signed up, they can offer nine different styles of workout classes, including OrientalFusion (bellydance-based), WarriorFusion(kickboxing-based), UrbanFusion (Jazz/hiphop based), and so on. It’s well-established that you need variety in your fitness program, to ensure you exercise all your muscles in different ways, and to keep you interested.
The other thing I like about HumanFusion is the class structure. In Zumba, a number is often over before I’ve got the moves! In HumanFusion, you’ll learn only one routine in each class – so by the end, you’ve got a warm glow, not just from sweat but from the satisfaction of being able to dance a whole routine with confidence. I also like the fact that all HF classes are taught by real dancers. Zumba is dance-based too, but you don’t have to be a trained dancer (or even a trained fitness trainer) to become a Zumba instructor. As a result, I often see Zumba teachers who don’t have the flexibility or musicality to demonstrate the moves properly.
