Can i blackmail my school legaly into giving me back a confiscated item?
Hi so…. heres the deal… i have an item.. took it into school with me, its brand new, its worth about £40… It doesnt say anywhere in the school rules ur not alowed to bring this item in… I had it confoscated by the dinerladys… one of them took it (a snooty bi%%h) Mind my language. She snatched it of me. then demanded my name. She didnt tell me when or where to collect it… so at the end of school today i went down to the office.. i told them my name and what i had had confoscated. They said: “Im sorry, we need to talk with your head of year 10 before we can even discuss handing it back to you.”
Now to the black mail thing… i have witnessed and had done to me by teachers: breached of human rights, minor physical assault, atempting to ‘brake’ students by shouting at them until they confessed (even if sometimes they where inisent). Teachers bringing in bottels of alcohol and drinking them during lessons.
so basicly… is it legal to black mail them in this way?
If school rules do not prohibit the possession of this article on school property, then it wasn’t legal for the dinnerlady to confiscate it.
Even if it IS banned by school rules, they’re not allowed to keep it, as long as it’s not an illegal item. (They can insist on returning it to you parents, not you, if they choose.)
Threatening to commit blackmail, however, is a SERIOUS crime. If they call your bluff and report your threats to the police, expect to be completing your education in reform school.
